Male French Bulldog puppy, 1 year old

Augustus is looking for a new home. He is a handsome male French Bulldog puppy, 1 year old and is neutered.

I own his mother and I sold him when he was a puppy and he was returned to me due to no fault of his own but due to the owner for personal reasons.

Augustus is extremely affectionate and clever. He has been neutered since late October and that has helped a good bit with his behavioural issues. He would best suit a male owner, he wouldn’t suit someone who has small kids (due to the fact he hasn’t been around them his whole life and I don’t have kids to train him to be around them) or someone who has more than one dog. Ideally if you have a dog already it would be better to have him in with a female dog. He likes to be dominant. Ideally the new owner would have to have time to continue to do behavioural work with him every day. I have no doubt that he won't succeed. Just unfortunately with my lifestyle he doesn’t suit my home. I absolutely adore Augustus but I want what’s best for him and would like to keep in touch with his new owner. Please message me with any questions ♥️🙏🏻 the one thing I ask for his new owner is that he keeps his name as he responds to it, and it’s hard for Frenchies to learn different names as they tend to be stubborn dogs.

1. Ask sellers to provide an ID (driver's licence / passport) and take note of their contact details. You will also need to provide the same & a proof of address to transfer the microchip to your name.
2. Note microchip IDs posted here (972274001500967) and check the microchip certificates (important) when you visit to make sure they match and the sellers details are on the certificate too (see example microchip certificates).
3. Do not purchase a dog without seeing a microchip certificate. It is illegal to sell a dog without a microchip that's fully registered (info).
4. Do not purchase a dog from a seller in a car park or other business location.
5. Consider buying a puppy starter pack of essential items .
6. Ask sellers about the vet who has taken care of the dogs. Ask for the dog's vaccination certificate(s).
7. Use our contract template www.dogs.ie/contract or another as a basis for a written contract & ask for a written receipt.
8. It's best not to bring young kids to first meetings, to avoid disappointment in the case you decide not to buy a dog.
